THE COLLAPSING OF OUR FINANCIAL WORLD

Slightly more than two years ago, I somehow knew that our financial world would collapse. I didn't have any evidence though and I couldn't explain why I thought this would be the case, so I only told two friends about it. Yet today, the very thing that I "simply knew" is playing out right before our very eyes.

It's a good thing, this financial collapse. It is opening up new doors and new opportunities. It is our chance to evolve what has been a system that has not been equitable. For example, the average person pays some three times the value of their house in repaying their mortgage, and many feel tied to jobs that they don't enjoy for the same reason. The system has been such that the divide between rich and poor grows ever wider each day.

Another thing that this collapse is forcing us to do is to re-evaluate what is truly important to us in our lives. It is causing us to look at our personal relationship with money and to question many things that we have probably never questioned before.

In my knowing, and I will not share this simply with just two friends this time...in my knowing, we are moving into a world where abundance will abound. It will be a world where each and every single one of us will have plenty. But, it does mean that we have to let go of the old way of thinking - the old thoughts and beliefs in lack, the fear of it and competition.

Unlike the time when I came to know that the financial world would collapse and I didn't have any evidence, this time is different. There is evidence to show that we are moving into a world that will be different and one that is more equitable and one that is abundant. Take a look at this clip from youtube.

To ease this transition into the new, we must, as individuals reorient ourselves around what is truly important to us and what it is that truly brings us fulfillment. If this is something that interests you to do, then have a listen to this podcast. It is the segment called Books Allowed, taken from my weekly radio show, Veronica's Gems, which I present on Noosa Community Radio. The book is The Soul of Money, Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Life by Lynne Twist.

A NEW WORLD

Today, I have felt compelled to write, because in this last week, I have been touched and moved to tears - twice - and on both occasions, would you believe it, by politics.

For a few years now, I have had a clear knowing that we have been moving into a new era - a time of harmony and alignment, a time of creatorship, and a time of belonging and peace. We will do business in a whole new way - here's just one example www.dosomegoodnow.com. It has already begun... and work will become simply an aspect of joyful living, and no longer because we have to earn our keep.

For too long, I have criticised myself for being unrealistic, for being too idealistic. But this is what I now clearly see. I cannot only speak of it in circles where I personally feel safe. It's time I also trusted my own inner knowings.

Transformation happens when we change our perspective, because through new eyes, the whole of our reality changes, and it is only when we can see the other potentials that are waiting and available, that we can clearly choose the new, and then to create it.

Never more clearly has this change been in evidence, until now.

This week, in Australia, on the first day of Parliament, the new Prime Minister issued an apology to the indigenous people, for mistreatments in the past. If you've watched the film The Rabbit-Proof Fence, then you'll have the beginnings of an idea of some of what happened. The simplicity, directness and sincerity of his apology moved me and thousands of others to tears. Here's what he said.

“Today we honour the Indigenous peoples of this land, the oldest continuing cultures in human history.

We reflect on their past mistreatment.

We reflect in particular on the mistreatment of those who were Stolen Generations – this blemished chapter in our nation’s history.

The time has now come for the nation to turn a new page in Australia’s history by righting the wrongs of the past and so moving forward with confidence to the future.

We apologise for the laws and policies of successive Parliaments and governments that have inflicted profound grief, suffering and loss on these our fellow Australians.

We apologise especially for the removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, their communities and their country.

For the pain, suffering and hurt of these Stolen Generations, their descendants and for their families left behind, we say sorry.

To the mothers and the fathers, the brothers and the sisters, for the breaking up of families and communities, we say sorry.

And for the indignity and degradation thus inflicted on a proud people and a proud culture, we say sorry.

We the Parliament of Australia respectfully request that this apology be received in the spirit in which it is offered as part of the healing of the nation.

For the future we take heart; resolving that this new page in the history of our great continent can now be written.

We today take this first step by acknowledging the past and laying claim to a future that embraces all Australians.

A future where this Parliament resolves that the injustices of the past must never, never happen again.

A future where we harness the determination of all Australians, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, to close the gap that lies between us in life expectancy, educational achievement and economic opportunity.

A future where we embrace the possibility of new solutions to enduring problems where old approaches have failed.

A future based on mutual respect, mutual resolve and mutual responsibility.

A future where all Australians, whatever their origins, are truly equal partners, with equal opportunities and with an equal stake in shaping the next chapter in the history of this great country, Australia.”

He also went on to say, "As Prime Minister of Australia, I am sorry. On behalf of the Government of Australia, I am sorry. On behalf of the Parliament of Australia, I am sorry. And I offer you this apology without qualification….

"We have had sufficient audacity and faith to advance part way to that future, with arms extended rather than with fists still clenched…

"Let us allow this day of national reconciliation to become one of those rare moments in which we might just be able to transform the way in which the nation thinks about itself.

"For the nation to bring the first two centuries of our settled history to a close ... and embrace with awe these ancient cultures which we are blessed, truly blessed to have among us…

“Let us turn this page together: Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, government and opposition, Commonwealth and state, and write this new chapter in our nation’s story together.”

The leader of the opposition, who normally sits on the opposite side of the house, sat next to the Prime Minister. Together they moved to greet guests, including aboriginal leaders and members of the stolen generations, seated in the distinguished visitors' gallery on the floor of the chamber. Together they represented an aligned and united front.

The energy for reconciliation and healing was palpable.

Together they moved to greet guests, including aboriginal leaders and members of the "stolen generations", seated in the distinguished visitors' gallery on the floor of the chamber. The energy for reconciliation and healing was palpable.

Then, across the ocean, in the United States, there came this clip - a music video containing cuts of Barack Obama, with a clear message. "We can change".

Take a look at it here. (or visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjXyqcx-mYY)

In my knowing, we have moved into the new world. The seeming chaos that we are seeing in the world at large today - the instability of the financial markets, the instability of our weather patterns, the apparent instability of our earth's plates - are all symptoms of change... a destabilising and falling away of the old, to create space for the new to settle in.

It is so clear to me, that we and our world are changing, because we are choosing differently, and so we are creating anew.

The time is right. The time is now. We are on track.

Trust yourself. Let go of the old, and follow your own inner truths.

ARTICLE - JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOU'RE DONE, OUT OF THE BLUE...

Up until yesterday, I would have said that I would describe me as being in a wonderful space, allowing of things and people, able to go with the flow and to let things unfold, that I feel magnificent about myself and where I'm at. Then, a person from the Customer Services call centre of Australia Post somehow managed to find, a huge hot button to press, and boy, did she press it hard! There have been very few times in my life that I can remember, where I've actually lost it and sworn out loud, and then, I hung up on her!

Well, I did phone her back a few minutes later to apologise, but more than anything, I did have to stop and ponder the hot button that she had pressed with such a vengeance... albeit inadvertently on her part. That's the thing with hot buttons, you see. They just lie there, dormant, and then someone comes along, and says something, and boom!

Often, people don't realise that it's their own hot button, with a message that cannot be missed, "Hey, I'm here! Pay me attention! Resolve me!" and so they blame the other person for being rude, or accusing, or whatever else may come to mind.

So what do you do when your hot button's been activated? Well, realise that it's just an aspect of you wanting to be recognised and welcomed home. It's some aspect of you that was hurt, or angry, or rejected, or similar, some time ago, and it needs to be acknowledged, to be thanked for the role it has played up until now, to be shown compassion for, and to be accepted.

I don't specifically know what it was that might have happened in the past for that aspect of me to have created such a massive hot button, but I do know that when I felt compassion for that aspect of me, with the thought, "I can't possibly know what it is that you went through for you to feel this way, but I thank you and I embrace you," I felt a sense of release... as if the hot button had been disconnected.

This time of year is usually a special time for family, but often, people feel the stress of it too. So, if you happen to find some hot buttons being pushed, even if they are small ones, just take a step back, and breathe in love for that aspect of you that is speaking up for some attention. Then you can let it go, and allow in the freedom that comes in its place.

Have a fabulous Christmas, if you happen to celebrate, and if not, have a fabulous holiday season and end of year celebration. I'll catch up with you again in 2008. Let's choose to celebrate everything that 2007 brought, and to invite in even more of heaven on earth in 2008.

I CHICKENED OUT, I GOT COLD FEET...

Have you ever had moments like that. You get an idea that you know is a great one, you're inspired by it, you are even perhaps galvanised into some action, and then, as you leave it to mull over, you chicken out.

Yes, I got cold feet.

I had heard a news item a couple of weeks ago, and immediately, I had the idea to run a free teleseminar - well, more like a "round table discussion" really, where I would simply share my take on things and to answer questions. There wouldn't be any attachments, and what I share wouldn't necessarily be anyone else's truth. Just mine, and if it is helpful to others, then it would have achieved something.

So I set the date, and I wrote the blurb for it - all within fifteen minutes of initially being inspired by the idea.

Then I decided to sit on it. And I did. And then I did again.

But the idea just won't go away. Thinking about it, I'd have nothing to lose. Perhaps some people might disagree with me, but that wouldn't be the first time for that to happen. So what's the fear?

That's exactly it. What IS the fear?

The funny thing is that I can't really tell you what the fear is. All I know is that it must be there for me to hesitate this much.

So I have a couple of options. (1) Face the fear and do it anyway, as Susan Jeffers says in her book of that title. (2) Tune into what's beyond (not behind, but beyond) the fear, because fear can be looked upon as a gatekeeper to a vaster, greater potential just waiting behind the gate. And by tuning in to that vaster, greater potential, I can allow it to inspire me even further.

Or a combination of both.

But what if it just happens to be that vaster, greater potential that I'm afraid of? What then?

Well, I think that this is where our own personal mastery comes into play, and which is one of the greatest challenges that any of us face. Will we allow our fear to stop us in our tracks or will we step beyond it?

It does take some courage, that is for sure, to tune in to our biggest selves at times.

What's to lose? Nothing.

What's to gain? More than likely something wonderful!

So I've taken the decisive decision - and that's simply it, a decision; no changing of beliefs or anything like that. I've decided that I will run the teleseminar. It's called, "Making Sense of It All", and it's on 24 October. Attendance is free, and voluntary contributions would be very much appreciated.

What's it about? Well, here's the blurb.

MAKING SENSE OF IT ALL - BACKGROUND INFORMATION

With so much happening in the world right now - extremes in weather conditions, upheaval in our financial markets and the economy, uncertainty in relation to jobs and more besides - many people are left wanting to make sense of it all. Just what is happening in our world?

In this free teleseminar, I'd like to openly share my perspective on things. It may not necessarily be the truth, but it is my truth and one that works for me, in that I have peace of mind, trust, and an inner knowing that all is well. It allows me to live each day in joy and wonder.

It is with some courage that I am doing this, because there is still a part of me that feels that I may be opening myself up to criticism, but then, there's a bigger part of me that knows that that's OK. I also know that by sharing, it may be helpful to others. So I'd like to invite you, if it resonates with you, to come and join me on this free call, and to send in your questions beforehand as well as during the call. I want for it not to be me simply "lecturing" but more about answering questions that you have, in whatever way I can, to assist you in making more sense of whatever is happening around us all at this present time. This may well include ad hoc coaching also. In essence, I'm wanting for this call to be interactive and "in the moment" so that we can be responsive to what everyone's needs are at the time.

It is an exciting time, but also, as we know, there can be a thin line between fear and excitement... depending on your perspective.

The tele-conference line can hold up to 200 people, and as an alternative, you may prefer to listen in live and send your questions via the internet. In addition, the teleseminar will be recorded, so that if you are unable to join us at the time, you will still be able to listen in to the call for 30 days afterwards.

Please pass this information on to other people you know whom you feel may find this helpful also.

If you'd like to come along, please register for it and you'll receive instructions on how to join in.

DATE & TIME: Wednesday, October 24th at 4:00pm Eastern (US), 9:00pm UK (Thursday, October 25th at 6:00am Brisbane, Australia

DURATION: Most likely about an hour, but please allow for up to 90 minutes, just in case, as this will be in response to your questions and what you want on the day

FORMAT: Simulcast! (Attend via Phone or Webcast -- it's your choice)

Please also tell those whom you feel would be interested and would like to attend.

TO ATTEND THIS EVENT, GO TO www.veronicalim.com/teleseminar.htm NOW...
On completion of the form, you will receive a confirmation email, including a link to a page where I welcome you to post any questions you have before the event so that I can address them during the event, and also have it be as relevant to you as possible.

Well, that was it. What was so hard about that??? Well, I really don't know. And that's the other thing that I've known for a good while too, but often forget. We don't have to know every single step. Sometimes, it's only a matter of taking that decision and then that single piece of action.

What about you? What's the one thing that keeps coming back to you, but which you keep not making a decision on or not taking that single step?

Oh, and do come to the teleseminar if it resonates for you!

CREATIVITY, FUN AND THE LIGHTNESS OF LIFE

A friend emailed me these yesterday, and I just loved them! You've probably already have seen it. They speak to me of creativity fun and the lightness of life - something that children naturally have, and that many adults forget... which is what inspired me to write my book, ABC's For Grown-Ups. The subject of the email was, "Desperate Students During Exams", laugh as I did, and allow yourself to let it lots more of creativity, fun and lightness into your life.

Then be sure to watch the video right at the end, also about Creativity. So true, and also very funny.

INSTANT MANIFESTATIONS

Yesterday, we had the first of the True Power of Your True Being Reunion calls - basically a catch up of the participants in the very first class. (I'm now calling these True Power Circles, because their purpose is exactly that - to create a circle of space where all connect in with their Essence and the field of sheer potential to create what each feels and wants in their life).

During the call, one of the things that came up was that the energies are moving much much faster today than even a few months ago. Once again, it's as if time has sped up - and now, we are seeing our manifestations happen much more quickly than before.

Some time ago, I read an article about our moving into a time of instant manifestations. In my mind, that meant that if I felt that I wanted something, then it should appear within 5 seconds! Such was my definition of "instant manifestation".

Today I realise that it isn't necessarily within 5 seconds, but it's pretty quick, and I'm noticing it more and more and more.

Here's a simple example. This morning, Jeff and I went down to a local cafe for a morning coffee. I'd finished my latte and gazed around idly. My eyes rested on the menu board... "The Most Delicious Hot Choc."

"Mmmm," I said, "The Most Delicious Hot Choc... yum..."

About ten minutes later, the lady from behind the counter came around with a little glass, and she said, "Just a little taster shot of hot chocolate for you both."

It was delicious indeed.

Instant manifestation? Absolutely! Had she heard me? I have no idea. But did what I want manifest and pretty much instantly? It certainly did, and that in itself was delicious to realise.

This is just one of many simple examples that I'm noticing. Now, you might be thinking that taking this point of view is rather too simplistic. But you know, when I was first getting to grips with the Law of Attraction, that was exactly what I had to learn to do - to notice the link between my thoughts and my feelings and what showed up - to collect the evidence so that I could build up my own belief and knowing in the Law of Attraction.

We so often dismiss what we think are little things. But it's the little things that help us build up our belief, our knowing and our momentum. After all, most of us have done extremely well at noticing all the little "bad" things that we didn't want to happen, but in those instances we don't take the credit for it!!

You see, we can also unconsciously and therefore inadvertently manifest the things that we don't want. That's why it makes sense to notice the link between your thoughts, feelings and manifestations.

So, without any judgment, start to look out for the evidence in your days of instant manifestations... and no matter how instant they are, just notice them and celebrate.
